Scholarships
There are four categories of scholarships available for study at Villa College.
Scholarships in this category are awarded to VIHS graduates. The programme makes awards to two outstanding students to study an undergraduate programme every year. The programme provides full funding for full-time courses at Undergraduate level, normally a three years Bachelor’s degree, in any field at VC.
Villa College- VIHS scholarship prorgamme is aimed at top academic achievers from Villa International High School.
Students have the option to study at any campus where the chosen prorgamme is offered. Student has the liberty to change the campus during the study period provided that the programme is offered at the preferred campus.
Any field offered at undergraduate level.
Scholarship covers full tuition fee for the duration of the course. The duration is defined as the normal duration a student takes to complete the programme by taking maximum credit offered in the semester.
To be eligible for VC/VIHS Scholarship you must:
- Be a Maldivian National
- Meet the entry requirements of the chosen programme
- Must be a graduate of VIHS
- Must not be more 2 years since graduated from VIHS at the time of application
- Must not be an active student of Villa College or any tertiary education institute at the time of applying sfor the scholarship.
To be eligible for VC/VIHS Scholarship you must:
- The scholarships will be awarded on merit basis. Determination of merit-based
scholarship eligibility will only consider scores of GCSE A’Level examinations.
Scholarships in this category are offered to students who meets the entry requirements of courses offered at Villa College.
One scholarship is awarded from each category, annually.
- Foundation
- Undergraduate
- Postgraduate
The scholarship/s provides full funding for the normal duration of the course that the recipient enrolled.
- Any student who meets the entry criteria
- Students who currently studying at Villa College.
Students have the option to study at any campus where the chosen course is offered. Student has the liberty to change the campus during the study period provided that the course is offered at the preferred campus.
Any field offered at Villa College.

Scholarship covers full tuition fee for the duration of the course. The duration is defined as the normal duration a student takes to complete the programme by taking maximum credit offered in each semester.
To be eligible for VC Open Category Scholarship you:
- Must be a Maldivian National
- Must have a confirmed placement from Villa College
The scholarships will be awarded based the following:
Weightage – 60%
In the first step of the selection procedure, applications will be assessed by the scholarship committee based on the academic merit
Weightage: 40%
In the second step of the selection procedure, short-listed candidates from the first step will receive invitations for an oral interview with the scholarship committee. The candidates will be assessed based on:
- Aspirations in the field of study
- Presentation and communication
- Goal orientation
- Leadership and maturity
- Contribution to the society
Villa College Alumni Scholarships are awarded to Villa College Alumni. The programme makes awards to 1 student from the following categories.
- Undergraduate
- Postgraduate
Scholarship/s provides full funding for the courses within the duration of the normal full time course.
Villa College scholarship prorgamme is aimed for Villa College Alumni.
Students have the option to study at any campus where the chosen prorgamme is offered. Student has the liberty to change the campus during the study period provided that the programme is offered at the second campus.
Any field offered at Villa College.
Scholarship inclusions
Scholarship covers full tuition fee for the duration of the course. The duration is defined as the normal duration a student takes to complete the programme by taking maximum credit offered in the semester.
To be eligible for VC Scholarship you must:
- Be a Maldivian National
- Must be an Alumni of Villa College.
- Must not be more that a semester since graduation.
- Must have a confirmed placement from Villa College
The scholarships will be awarded based the following:

The Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) continues to impact the health care in unprecedented ways. To recognize and value the efforts of the health professional workers during these challenging times and to contribute to the accelerated need of the health care trainings, Villa College is extending its scholarship scheme to health care professionals.

To be eligible for VC Health Professionals’ Scholarship you must:
- Be a Maldivian National
- Meet the entry criteria of the selected programme and must have a confirmed placement from Villa College
- Have worked as a Health Professional from January 2019 onwards
Selection Criteria
All candidates applying under this category will be interviewed by the scholarship committee. The scholarships will be awarded based on:

Contributions made during the covid 19 as a health professional. Applicants must submit minimum 3 reference as proof of the contributions made / activities engaged during covid 19.
